Back to the role:

What you will do:

• Write high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Implement best development practices (unit testing, continuous integration, etc.).
• Ensure the performance and scalability of microservices.
• Recruitment and integration of developers.
• Distribution of tasks and monitoring of project progress.
• Mentoring and training of team members.
• Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps team and product teams.
• Ensure consistency between the different components of the application.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technological developments in the backend field.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies as needed.

What you should have:

• Proficiency in backend programming languages: Node.js, Java, Python, Go, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architectures: principles, best practices, tools.
• Experience with databases: relational, NoSQL
• REST API skills: design, development, documentation.
• Proficiency in versioning tools: Git.
• Experience with containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud computing: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Leadership and communication skills.

MACH specific requirement

• Modular Thinking: The Backend Dev Lead should have a modular approach to development, breaking the application down into small, independent services.
• API-first orientation: It must design APIs as products in their own right, paying particular attention to their documentation and scalability.
• DevOps Culture: It must be involved in the entire software lifecycle, from design to production.
• Adaptability: The world of development is evolving rapidly, and the Backend Dev Lead must be able to adapt to new technologies and paradigm shifts.
