Back to the role:

We are seeking a visionary Vice President, Data Science & AI to lead our data science and AI initiatives, with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI. This executive will play a pivotal role in driving AI-powered solutions for our clients, fostering innovation, and advancing our mission to deliver exceptional value while supporting sales pursuits and driving growth.

What you will do:

1. Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and execute the vision for Valtech’s data science and AI capabilities with other data leaders in the region and around the globe.

- Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, AI engineers, and analysts.

- Drive alignment between AI initiatives and the organization’s broader business goals.

2. Client Engagement:

-  Act as a strategic advisor to clients, identifying opportunities for AI and data-driven transformation.

- Collaborate with client teams to design and deliver tailored AI and data science solutions leveraging GCP and Vertex AI.

-  Represent Valtech as a thought leader in the AI and data science community through conferences, publications, and events.

3. Sales Enablement and Growth:

- Partner with sales teams to develop strategies for leveraging data science and AI as a competitive advantage in client proposals and engagements.

- Craft compelling narratives and business cases for AI solutions to support client acquisition and retention.

- Participate in client presentations and pitches as the data science and AI subject matter expert.

- Identify new revenue streams and opportunities for expanding Valtech’s AI offerings within existing and prospective accounts.

- Collaborate with marketing teams to create thought leadership content and showcase Valtech’s AI capabilities to the market.

- Develop partner relationships within Google to help drive growth.

4. Technical Expertise:

- Lead the development and deployment of scalable AI models, predictive analytics, and machine learning solutions using GCP (BigQuery) and Vertex AI.

-  Design and implement data pipelines, storage solutions, and architectures that align with cloud-native best practices.

-  Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and Google Cloud technologies to drive innovation and enhance service offerings.

What you should have:

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, or a related field.
• 10+ years in data science and AI leadership roles, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale AI solutions.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
• Demonstrated experience supporting sales pursuits and driving revenue growth through innovative AI solutions.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including DevOps for machine learning (MLOps).
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation

This is a full-time position in the United States. The salary range offered for this position is $225K-$325K annually, depending on experience and location.
